Steve Miller - Adversity Leads Alum to Inspiring Career

New Prosthetic

Cast on 1 April 2008, received 3 April 2008

4th Prosthetic - so far all seems good; no pain, no slumping when walking, toes

not bottoming out, and immediately showed signs of progress.

(Notice the band-aide - Ty got a boo-boo falling off his bike, ha, ha)

Third Prosthetic

Re-cast on 10 Nov. 2007, received 3 Dec. 2007

3rd Prosthetic - still something wasn't right; still wasn't walking right, bad

slumping to one side, Achilles Tendon and hip still hurting.

Second Prosthetic

Cast on 21 Aug. 2007, received 3 Oct. 2007

2nd Prosthetic - something was totally wrong; hurt to walk, started having pain in

Achilles Tendon and hip, and toes were still bottoming out (too much room).

Slumping to one side when walking.

First Prosthetic

Started wearing all day in June 2007

The very 1st prosthetic - seemed to be fine; the only problem was toes

were bottoming out, partly due to growth. He was showing progress.
